How does my CV writing service work?
Writing a CV is very much about a collaborative partnership as ultimately you are the expert in you and your skills. My CV writing service helps you to stand out in the right way from your competitors by presenting your brand clearly and concisely and ensuring that you have a document that shows off your potential. Prior to holding the Discovery Call I ask you for a copy of your CV so that I can give you an accurate evaluation of how much needs to be amended.
Step 1: The Discovery Call
On a one-to-one basis either via Zoom or a phone call we hold an initial discovery call to fully understand where you are in your career journey and where you want to get to. We will talk about the next steps, including pricing, and what the outcomes and results would look like. Following on from the Discovery call I will provide you with a career questionnaire to probe a little further in terms of your needs and wants from your next role and ensure that I can fully support you. For those seeking their first ‘career’ role on completion of education including apprentices, college leavers and graduates.
As you move through your initial career journey it is very easy to just update your CV by adding your most recent role rather than considering what is needed for the role that you want to move into in the future. I will spend time reviewing your current CV looking at the skills that you have gained, how it fits with the role that you want to move into and creating a new CV layout for you, which either will be a standard, skills based or value based layout depending on where you are in your career.

For those seeking roles at junior/middle management level or below.
For those in managerial positions who need to show your value and differentiated strengths as you either move into managerial roles or through various managerial roles. How long does it take until I get my new CV?
I aim to produce a finished CV within 7-10 working days from agreeing to work together. However, please do not hesitate to contact me if there is a more urgent requirement.
Is this CV the final version that I send out to recruiters?
A professionally written CV can be used as a fantastic master template for each application. However, you will need to tailor it slightly for each application you submit ensuring that you include any relevant key words and phrases and taking into account the style of messaging they use.

The key is making it as succinct as possible, ideally one page, and not just a duplicate of the information contained within your CV. It is essentially a summary that encourages the reader to continue reading your documents.
